Somi and Yuki in Singles qualifiers....

In the men's doubles, Lee/Radek will be seeded 5th and Rohan/Aisam will be seeded 11th...

No chance for Divij & Purav to get in here. Lu is paired up with Vesley. So, Divij is going to fall further in the rankings after the loss of his R3 points from last year's USO...

It looks like they will take into account latest updated ranking for seedings purpose and accordingly, Somdev will be seeded 30th and Yuki will not be seeded at qualies.

Sameer, most of those were projected rankings for this week and with the withdrawls from the initial entry list, Yuki is likely to be one of the last seeded players... Somdev could be seeded anywhere between 25 & 30...

Update: With this week's actual rankings...., and it is a good thing for Yuki to be seeded so that he can buy some time to get into a good shape with a relatively easier first match... :goodluck:

26 Devvarman, Somdev IND 143
27 Ilhan, Marsel TUR 144
28 Melzer, Gerald AUT 145
29 Kudryavtsev, Alexander RUS 146
30 Ram, Rajeev USA 147
31 Moriya, Hiroki JPN 149
32 Bhambri, Yuki IND 151

Thanks, Prashanth. Yes, it will be good to be seeded but I feel in case of Somdev & Yuki it depends more on the form that they display here. If they are in their best form, both are capable of beating anyone in this qualifying draw ( as except 1 or 2 , none from top 100 will be in the qualifying draw.) But, at the same time if they do not raise their game here, they can lose to anyone in the draw.

It depends on which Somdev and/or Yuki turn up tomorrow.

USO National PlayOff - Qualifying WC

[F] (1) Sanam Singh (IND,390) d. (2) Jeff Dadamo (USA,607) 62 62

:goodluck: for the second set...

Sanam has three break points in the very first game of the second set..... and he converts on the third chance... 1-0..
Hold at 30, 2-0 up.... Looking good so far, hope there are surprises in store...
0-40 on Dadamo's serve now..... And Sanam breaks at love to go 3-0 up in the 2nd set...

Straight sets win in 55 mins for Sanam to get into his first GS Event Qualifying....... :goodluck:

That makes it 3 Indians in the Singles qualifying.......
