So, she got a win over Mrdeza in doubles. Hope she does the same in singles tomorrow.

Karman lost the 2nd set TB playing like a fool. Karman has better serve and more power but Tereza has more controls on her shots.

1 set all after 2 hours 36 mins. These womens matches can be long drawn.

Karman was up an early break leading 2-0 in the third set but has given it back with a double fault and an unforced error and it is 2-2 now in the third set.
Karman breaks again with some great returns for 3-2.
And the break is given back again for 3-3. :-( Her serve seems to have lost some of it's sting as the match has gone along.
Breaks of serve continue as Karman breaks after a longish game to lead 4-3.
And Karman broken again for 4-4. Playing some tired looking shots now. Couple of bad errors in that game too.
And Karman breaks again for 5-4. Now, she will need to hold to win but it not easy. She has not held her serve since first service game of the set.
Karman broken back for 5-5. :-( 3 unforced errors.
And a big hold from Mredeza for 6-5. Now, Karman has to hold serve to stay in the match.

If Karman wins this match, she should give a walkover for the doubles SF. She will need to recover well for the singles QF after playing a grueling 3 setter in this Perth weather, in addition, this pathetic $25K tournament does not even have ball kids.

She could not do that as lost she lost serve again.

At $25K ITF Women's Tournament 2018, Perth, Australia

[R2] Karman Kaur Thandi (IND,278) l. (8) Tereza MRDEZA (CRO,220) 75 67(3) 57

A long 3 hours 50 mins match, almost close to 4 hours. As Dinesh said, not having ball kids added to the length of the match as players needed to go and fetch the ball after every point. Both the players looked tired in the end but Karman more so. Her serve and her weak backhand just fell away in the end. Made a lots of errors on backhand side. Missed a chance in creating this upset.

Par for the course in futures isn't it? I have hardly been to any futures that has had ball boys unless it perhaps happens to fall during school holidays.

Most Futures I had been to in the US have no ball kids. Players pick the balls pretty much after every other point or so.
