Re: Sania Mirza Tournaments -2014
I saw this match on line and there were no match points for Sania and Cara, that I can remember. They came back from a big deficit, in the tie-breaker, but could not win some points at the end. Sania's serve raised it's ugly head towards the end of the second set. The opponents had a coach come out and gesture madly at them, but Sania had no one come out and tell her not to keep banging the cross-court all the time, and to send a blast at Nadia the lanky Russian lurking in the lane. She kept poaching the cross-court returns of Sania. Sania at the baseline is a head-scrather in doubles, but it seems to work for her in someway. I think someone on her team should have been an adviser for the moment. A very exciting match for sure and a supporting crowd was on hand. Always a pleasure to see an Indian on the court!

Re: Sania Mirza Tournaments -2014
Sania and Cara had 2 match points (10-9 and 12-11), both of them were saved from brilliant play by the Russians,Overall It
was a match clearly for sania and cara to win but unfortunately they didn't have the same touch as they had shown in 2013
in beijing and tokyo,
Hopefully they will find the winning formula in Dubai
Sania and cara were tagetting petrova in the 1st set, it was the result in their favour but 2nd set was completely opposite since
Nadia took Medical- Time Out.
In the 3rd Set Nadia-Pavluchenkova had 9-4 lead only to be vanished by brilliant play from Cara and Sania but it was the luck
in the end
Huge Cheers for Sania by Crowd, Its really heartening to see such support in Doubles:)

Re: Sania Mirza Tournaments -2014
Just wondering has super tie break made doubles more interesting or more unfair? Too many close encounters ..
or is it just because 3rd set is just a tie breaker one doesn't loose hope after loosing first set. The fight back is not that tough...

Re: Sania Mirza Tournaments -2014
Sometimes I feel a tiebreak in any sport is more of luck rather than skill(like the toss of a coin). But someone has to lose.
