Re: Vijayant Malik thread
Crowley played the India Futures, but I don't think he lost as badly to anyone there. Good stuff from Vijayant!

Re: Vijayant Malik thread
Ryan Shane is a Virginia Cavalier who is ranked nationally collegiately, so he probably significantly better than his ranking. He also beat Sanam in the recent prize money tournament before losing easily to Somdev. Vijayant should be able to take him (if Shane gets there) but it may be a tough match.

Re: Vijayant Malik thread
Shane lost in the second round. But, in fact most of the guys in this futures are college players who are underranked. I was wondering how the Libyan guy took Vijayant to 3 sets in the first round & found that he is another one from university of Illnois & had beaten some college top 10 players this year.arjun2761 wrote:Ryan Shane is a Virginia Cavalier who is ranked nationally collegiately, so he probably significantly better than his ranking.

[QF] (2) Vijayant MALIK (IND,462) vs (Q) Becker O'SHAUGHNESSEY (USA,UNR)
Becker is a university of Alabalma freshman who had a couple of impressive wins over former/ current UVA players Shabaz & Shane in the first 2 rounds. Hopefully, Vijayant can still take care of him.

Re: Vijayant Malik thread
Another nice confident win by Vijayant.
Quigley is a 2012 NCAA runner up having lost to Steve Johnson in that finals. But , he is not having as much success in pros as you would expect from NCAA runner up. He is having some challenger wins though & beat 4th seed easily in QF here.
So, this is a real challenging match for Vijayant.

Good match by Vijayant against 2012 NCAA runner up although he could not force a win. Overall, much improved performance by Vijayant this week. Hope he keeps up/ further improves his performance next week.
