India U-14 boys, who are currently in Brazil for an exposure trip, played two practice matches last week.
The Indian sub-junior boys emerged victorious in both the games recording comprehensive victories against their opponents. They defeated Pone Preta FC 2-1 in the first match played on February 4, while they thrashed Esportiva FC 6-0 a day after.

India U-15 National Team who are currently training in IMG Academy, Florida has been placed in group G in the Dallas Cup which is scheduled to start on 17th April. India will play alongside Santa Clara Sporting, TSF Academy Grey ,Sockers U15 Cup. All three of them are from the United States.

19th April: India U15 National Team vs TSF Academy Grey
20th April: India U15 National Team vs Sockers U15 Cup

In other matches, India U15 lost by 1-2 to Santa Clara Sporting and Santa Clara and Sockers drew 0-0. Here is the points table. India needs to beat Sockers in their last match.

Looks like the India U-15 team beat the Sockers 1-0 to top their pool!

... and they get to play the winner of group B, FC Golden State in the quarterfinals. This winner of the this match will play the winner of undefeated Eintracht Frankfurt (probably the best team in the competition) and the wildcard.

So at this age level our national junior talent is as good as the top US junior club teams and probably competitive with the European club junior teams. Now, if they could continue to progress so that our senior team could be as good as a typical MLS club and competitive with the likes of a European club team (like Eintracht Frankfurt or AC Milan), then we would be a top-50/60 level national side competing for an Asian spot in the world cup. However, a long road lies ahead to get there but this seems like a good start.
