Aisam coming off a strong tournament win in Bangkok with Oliver Marach. Hopefully he and Rohan can continue the hot streak.

Surely, with Rohan and Somdev both playing there, a tournament thread was warranted for the Japan Open...

Japan open proved disappointing for Indians ... After Sommy's loss in the singles first round, today our top-seed pair, Rohan and Aisam, lost against experienced Brazilian pair in straight sets ... In both sets Brazilians broke our pair serve twice and other hand our pair managed to broke their serve once despite getting multiple opportunities.

For year-end tournament they r right now ranked 4th pair with 4320 pts and 1650 pts ahead of 8th ranked team .. So I would say they almost secure their place for London ATP World Tour Finals but other hand Rohan and Aisam r sitting on 7th position ... They need couple of solid performance to secure place in the final 8.

Terrific comeback win by Bops & Aisam in the first round match.

They lost the first set 2-6 & were down 2-5 in the second set when the Brazilians served for the match. Bops/ Aisam broke them then & then one more time to square it at 5-5 . Then, they took the second set tiebreak 7-1 & the super tie break 10-4 to win the match.

At €650K Vienna Open, Austria

[R1] Rohan Bopanna (IND)/ Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi (PAK) d.Marcelo Melo (BRA)/ Bruno Soares (BRA) 26 76(1) 10-4

Looks like the mother of all comeback wins, for the Indo-Pak Express!!! This will give them huge confidence for London, where are likely to qualify. GO BOPS GO! :goodluck:

Hey, one of my fellow moderators changed the thread title? ... I was just joking with that new nickname in the Stockholm tournament thread. But if others like the name, fine .. RoboIQ is easier to type than MysorePak and (that awful name, sorry PKB) Samjhauta express :)

I don't care what you call these guys... Indo-Pak Express, Mysore-Pak, RoboIQ, Robo-Kap, Paisam Qureshi, Samjhauta Express... they're sweet and it's even sweeter when they win!
