Somdev gets a chance to be in the singles main draw in this ATP event where the cut is one of the lowest among the ATP tournaments ( around 150). Rohan & Aisam will be in the doubles main draw.

Prakash & Rohan are in the qualifying draw. Prakash is the third seed & has a bye in first qualifying round.

Rohan plays his Q1 match today.

Bad loss for Rohan. If Rohan continues to show such bad form in singles then some rethink will have to be done for the second singles spot in the davis cup team.

Kash mostly struggled with high altitude condition ... Just my thought .. Still his loss was unacceptble.

Disappointing losses for both Rohan and Prakash in the qualifiers. It doesn't say anything about Davis Cup necessarily, though. Davis Cup is 5 sets, and you have the captain to advise you after every game. Clearly the latter in particular makes a huge positive difference to Indian players.

True that how our players have done in Davis Cup has generally not had much to do with how they were doing in other events. Rohan himself was coming out of injury and looking terrible before the last Davis Cup and he came through with one of his better wins last year in RSA. Having said that, RB's singles results has been truly terrible lately for a prolonged period, with losses to really low ranked players....

Davis cup can be totally different. But, you cannot simply ignore the fact that RB has hardly been able to win anything in singles after davis cup & Kuala Lumpur ATP immediately thereafter. Further, he gets very few matches in singles due to his doubles commitments.
