Saniapower, even if she did not do all that, did you think she would win against the #3 seed?

Sania talks about her future in this interview -

Sania sets new goals

I think the way she was playing in Asian games, she can clearly still play at top 50 level & her ranking should be back to where it belong soon,

Getting back into top-100 (and perhaps to top-75 in my opinion), which looks quite possible for her now, is a fair goal. She should also try to keep a high doubles rank, for the sake of getting a seeding in mixed doubles at the London Olympics in 2012, though it would be OK to do that from later in the next year. London may well be closer to the end of the career for her - unless she is in the top30 again by then (most women players do not do all that well past that age of 26 - though you can never say, seeing the Kimikos and Tammis still doing well).

I think it was at this Asiad that, after a very long time, we all felt that her wrist really did not bother her for a few tough matches in back to back days; So what she said about that also looks true. That is positive news. Let us hope that the injuries will stay away and she will be back in top-75 soon. Then we should also see if she would make additional change to her game with some serious work with a top coach etc, which we hoped for her to do from several years back and she never really did. Let us see.

At least she is not just fizzling out and disappearing yet, like some antifans here predicted. (I think antifan is an accepted word now, isn't it?)

He coached Wozniak and she reached up to #21 last year. She has fallen to #125 now. Is that because he is not coaching her, I don't know. I haven't checked into Steckley much, but he sounds like a good coach. Well, Sania herself seems to have shown slightly better tennis recently, so I guess we will wait and see... May be he can fix her problems. If not, if she is confident that the injury is all gone and she is ready for another run into top-50, she should look into going to the bext out there whom she would trust to fix the issues in her game. For now, things look OK.

It's interesting that she has chosen to have a travelling coach now. That shows she is thinking about the medium-term. I hope she sticks with this coach (if he works out) and at least has a travelling coach when she is back in the top-75, which she should be by April or so, assuming she is injury-free.

Sania Will play ITF Dubai starting From 13 or 15 december,She is not in the Entry list but certainly will enter the draw after some pull outs or she will get A WC because she is a crowd puller in that part of the world
I hope she atleast reaches Semis or Finals assuming her form lately :D
