Sad that he couldn't clinch that final birdie, but a T3 finish in a full PGA tour event is still a very big deal indeed. Very nice to see Arjun gradually fitting into the PGA elite. Next year should be very good, with no pressure to retain his card. A run at a major title would also appear to be a distinct possibility for him if he keeps this form up.

Nice to see Jeev gradually find his feet on the PGA tour as well.

Jeev moves to 163 on the money list -- a long way off from the top 125 to retain his card for next year. He needs to finish T5 or better a few times to ensure that this happens. Of course, nothing like a win. Good luck Jeev. Arjun seems to have recovered the consistency that he used to show before his injury.

Jeev probably needs a top 3 or better as very few tournaments are left. He has started his first round in Frys.com Open and made a single birdie on his first 7 holes. Arjun has wthdrawn from the torunament. It may be a good idea to take a week off after finishing in top 3.

At the Frys.com Open, Daniel Chopra missed the cut with a +4 through two round (cut was at even par) while Jeev made the cut. After three rounds Jeev lies at T43 with a -3 score. The leader is at -17. A good fourth round can bring Jeev up to around 20. Looks like Jeev will not move up significantly in the money ladder this week.

Jeev had a decent final round (2 under par 69) to finish T27 (5 under par).

Jeev will play his last event this week in Las Vegas on the PGA Tour...
There is one more event in the calender starting 11 November, but Jeev may not play as he is in field for the Singapore Open (a $6 million event). So Jeev will lose his card on the PGA Tour, unless he wins or finishes in top 3.

Good luck Jeev and just go for it as its the last chance....unless Jeev decides to play the qualies....

Next week Jeev plays in Valderamma, Spain and would try to get into top 60 on the European Money List, to qualify for the Dubai World Championships...he will have Singapore Open and Hongkong Open after that to seal his place in Dubai.

Jeev and Daniel failed to make the cut in Las Vegas (officially, the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open). Arjun just about made the cut (he was -5 at the halfway mark, the cut was at -4), but had an awful final two rounds to finish 74th at +4 (dead last among those who made the cut). Utterly forgettable week for the Indian players at the PGA tour event...

Arjun played at the CIMB Classic in Malaysia last week and finished Tied 26.
Not so good outing, considering the field had only 40 players and Arjun having lot of experience playing the conditions.
Tournament was won by Ben Crane.
Next week, Arjun plays in the prestigious HSBC Event in Shanghai (Asia'a Major - unofficially) - a field of 78 Champions in past 12 months.....Tiger, Phil, Westwood (new world no. 1) are all in the field.

Yes and No.
The Malaysian event was a PGA listed event and had 25 PGA players and 10 Asian Tour players. So you can say it was a PGA event. HSBC event is like a Major, with winners from all Tours. We should cover it in the Majors/WGC thread.
