This week, the European Tour is at the Portugal Masters. Shiv Kapur and SSP Chowrasia were the two Indians in the fray and both of them failed to make the cut. Kapur had a two round score of -2 and missed the cut by two strokes while SSP carded an even par.

After 2 bad weeks on the European tour, when none of our players could make the cut, we have the
last event in Europe for the year at Valderrama, Spain.

Its the Andalucia Valderrama Masters and we have Jeev, SSPC & Shiv (lucky to get a sponsor's invite) in the field.
Jeev has won here in 2006 - so he will be looking forward to his return there.
Shiv and SSPC badly need good finishes to secure their cards, with just couple of more events left on the Tour.
Hope the trend is reversed with Jeev bringing some luck to our contingent....
Jeev needs a good finish to make the cut for Dubai World Championship........ :goodluck:

At the Andalucia Valderrama Masters, SSPC played his best in Europe so far in past 3 seasons.
SSPC - who rarely makes the cut in European events finished a credible 9th.
Moves SSPC to 132 in the money list with 2 events remaining.
Top 115 secure cards for next year and hence SSPC needs to do well to move up.
Jeev also did well and finished T14.
Shiv Kapur faltered in round 2 and eneded up T44, but managed to stay at 100th place, and hopefully that should secure his card for 2011.

Nice to see Chowrasia finish in the top-10, and Jeev just outside it, in this prestigious event (that Jeev won in his breakthrough year, 2006).

:( Disappointing to see Jeev drop from 12 under at halfway mark during second day to 10 under.

Excellent 2 days for Jeev....
Keep the good work going and hope he is in the last couple of groups on Sunday.
Also, last chance for SSPC to retain his EPGA card.
He is 135 on the money list and needs a top 5 finish to retain his card.....extremely unlikely

What kind of finish does Jeev require to finish amongst to 60 in race to dubai? Would a top 5 do?

Nice to see Jeev back into his groove as this season comes to a close. T7 is a pretty good finish in this big EPGA event.

With this the 2010 Tour is over for our players as none could finish inside Top 60,
to play the Dubai World Championships - the last event on the calender.
Unfortunate that Jyoti & SSPC lost their cards.... hope they decide to come over to Spain and
play the qualifiers.
