Poojashree played in qualifying of $75K challanger in Dubai last weekend .

At $75K challanger, Dubai , UAE

Pooja won the first set but could not continue the good work. But, at least she gets 4 WTA points & will have some improvement in the ranking.

Yes my dear friend omkara,i think pooja heard yours and she is in the main draw of the big $50k challenger in china (starting jan 4) and the $25k the following week.
Hope she gets some victories there in early 2010 and do well in the indian circuit which is also boosted with a couple of $25k challengers.

Poojashree having favorable draw in singles but in doubles she and her Chinese partner facing very experienced doubles players ... Zi Yan was top-5 doubles player in 2006 and currently she is #23.

It seems Pooja could not cope with the cold weather in China. China is experiancing one of the heaviest snowfalls in many years.

Yes. I was expecting some brickbats when I wrote that. :D But, I could not resist posting after I saw that strange scoreline in a loss by Pooja. I am lucky to escape from the clutches of excuse police. ;)

Food and weather are the usual culprits! Playing abroad more can help you get used to different weather conditions but I not sure how you would solve the food problem.
