A new website has been started for promoting sports at the grassroots level. http://www.indiakhelo.com plans to conduct On-Ground Sports Contest for school and college students. This contest is mainly to identify talent among the masses. The participants will be tested on particular skills in a sport (eg. spin bowling in cricket, goal keeping in football etc.) and given area, national rankings. The tests are scientifically designed in order to be completely objective, therefore giving accurate measurement of the player's skill. These contests will be conducted all over the country including the rural areas over a period of time. Details about the upcoming contest will be communicated to people who are registered on the website. They also get a sports profile for free, where their performance in subsequent contests can be stored and compared.
