Actually, even though the two frames seem to be synchronized now in some cases, I still get the case where it forgets my login information and asks me to login again even though I did so this morning and checked the box to indicate that it should retain login information forever. Just so that you know and get to it whenever you have the time.

I think the right hand side panel forgets your login after lapse of sometime. Also, unreadposts needs to be in on the left hnd side panel. Otherwise, one needs to read one post, click the "Forum" again and click unread posts.

Dhruv, when one openes a link it openes up within this window . Is there any way in which the link will open is a different window as it used to in eariler forum ?

Right click on the link and use the option to open in another window.

I want to poll the forum members about a particular topic and I am unable to do so. Can someone tell me how to make a poll so that the members can vote on it? Thanks in advance.

Bsharma, you need to start a new topic for that. At the bottom you will see three tabs, 1. Options 2.Upload attachment 3.Poll creation

Click on the poll creation and give your poll question

The login cookie problem is still there. It shows me logged on in the left panel and almost everytime I have to log on in the fight frame. I am not complaining but just making sure that Dhruv knows about this so that whenever he has the time, he fixes it.

prasen, i had the same problem.. so i stopped logging on the left frame.. now i am only logged onto the forum (right frame) and i have not had not that problem..

Problems / Suggestions

1. I can't access the site on my mobile

earlier it was possible

2. If 99% of usage of this site is just about forum (Dhruv has the data to confirm this), why so much hesitation is scraping all other portions of the site?

IMHO, if the front page returns to it good old shape of the forum listing, this site would start flying again.

Current front page is always so boring with 3 months old story. It puts off new visitors by giving impression of an inactive site, which this is not.

Yeah I think I will need to do that over the X'mas holidays.....

I try to expand functionlaity as people demand it but as there are few contributions its a death by a 1000 cuts.....

Forum board index as front page would definitely bring zing back into the site (apart from saving most of the old users an extra click to reach their destination)
