Apart from playing Competitive Tennis at this age , Purav’s major quality is his knowledge of Tennis and after Vijay would be worthy candidate for a Indian Tennis expert.

One has to watch his TV discussion with Somdev which is analytical , with precise knowledge of Indian & International Tennis and with an good command over English.

It is People like Somdev & Purav who are much needed for Indian Tennis administration and will prove valuable in making an attempt and a beginning to clear the mess compared to the important position Delhi Gang of Chamcha’s the like’s of Rajpal ,Uppal,Balram are holding.
This Delhi troika who’s only claim to fame is playing some insignificant Tennis compared to the highest level of International standards of Somdev & Purav are complete Yes Men to the Mafioso Khanna and also being from Delhi was a major qualification in getting these crucial roles.

I can guarantee if there were to be a debate on tennis between the troika of Delhi gang & Somdev/Purav , the sharp contrast would be very much evident in terms of Tennis knowledge.

But then the Dear leader needs incompetent Chamacha’s and Yes Men while Somdev / Purav who will ask the right questions and do the right things which are needed will be a threat to his fiefdom are sidelined .

Agree. Purav had stayed with us a long time ago, when Harsh Mankad was starting him off in challenger doubles, and I could already see that he was an analytical guy. He developed his doubles skills also in an analytical way. He does not have any serious weapons except good reflexes so he developed his hands and became very cerebral about ball placement.

He and Somdev could be very good for Indian tennis. Heck, if, Somdev, Purav and Harsh can get together, they can be so useful for Indian tennis from an advice standpoint. But like I always say, I am sure AITA will resist it with all their might!

And Purav on many occasions has worked with Ram as his(Ram) coach. notably amongst them during the AO qualies which used to be held in Qatar due to Covid.

Purav has entered the Italian challenger next week alongside fellow doubles specialist Ramkumar. Can Ramkumar revive his failing tennis career? Also, is Divij injured?

With that win Purav jumps to 8th spot amongst the 11 Indians occupying rankings in the top 200 doubles live rankings.

6 to 7 months ago Ram at #58 was looking over all the 9 guys ranked below him, but today all of them have overtaken Ram.
