S Chikkarangappa made a double delight with a victory at the season-ending McLeod Russel Tour golf Championship that also sealed his maiden Rolex Player of the Year title for the PGTI order of merit.

Shubham Jaglan, India's 11-year-old golf prodigy, bagged his first-ever US Kids European Junior Championship, by a massive 13 strokes, at the Craigielaw Golf Club in Longniddry, Scotland.
The tournament is a prelude to the prestigious World Championships – which will essentially host the same playing field as the European Championship. In 2015, Jaglan had finished second in the competition.

Rayhan Thomas a 16 year old amateur Indian golfer based in UAE is doing well in the professional golf circuit.
Rayhan is a regular at the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) Golf Tour and today he has created history by becoming the first ever Amateur Champion of MENA Golf tour event.
This year alone he has three top-3 finishes out of 5 MENA golf tournaments.
Rayhan has also won 2 amateur tournaments this year.

Is he listed as an Indian? He has Indian parents from Kerala, but was born in UAE, right?

Yes he was born & raised in UAE, but he is listed as an Indian in OWGR & WAGR rankings.

Ranked 180 in the WAGR rankings, Rayhan Thomas is now the number 1 Indian Amateur golfer.
He continued his good form by finishing tied third at MENA golf event of GOLF CITIZEN Classic.

In OWGR rankings, Rayhan is ranked 852.

I don't think Indians who are born and/or raised in UAE are entitled to UAE citizenship. I suspect only a special decree from their ruler or someone like that may be needed to get citizenship which they probably use sometimes to import sportsmen to improve their sporting performance.

Rayhan Thomas is now ranked 131 as per the latest WAGR Rankings. This week, Rayhan and 5 other Indians are taking part Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship. Winner of this event gets a spot at the Masters.

After Round 1, Rayhan is tied for seventh position & India's No. 2 amateur golfer Yuvraj Sandhu is T15.

This week seven Indian women golfers will try their luck at the Ladies European Tour Q School for 2017 season.
This is the largest Indian contingent ever to play at the Q School. Aditi had won thi event last year.
