Congratulations Samarth and Jaydeep.  I was not able to log in yesterday for unknown reason to express my happiness.

Can Dhruv or another moderator look into this guy called "vista". He copies and pastes other's posts with no new information, but his posts contain two advertisements for sites (which I haven't checked out, but I fear have some bugs attached).

Now that basu ji has pointed it to us, I want to take up this issue with everyone.

Having a website as a signature and probably few links on news is ok. But there have been instances where people have put links to sell something, some new forum etc....

How do we deal with such things... even if they are not harmful.

We remove posts trying to sell stuff, as soon as we see it. You may have seen some posts before we got around to deleting though. One or two links in a signature is OK, if those are accepable links, I guess. Judgment call. We will look for vista's posts.

Jay, if you go to the Australian Open tennis tournament thread, there's a new posting dated February 16th from vista. It is simply a verbatim cut-and-paste of an earlier post in the same thread by me. I think I have seen one other post by him with a similar verbatim paste from someone else's post. He is not adding value to the forum, but is simply advertising something.

On the golf forum, he has done the same thing. And is advertizing silicone breast implants...

There has been a rash of spam lately. All of them (with different user-id's) have similar imprints, leading me to conclude that it is just one person.

i have reported on quite a few messages lately. Wondering if anything got done. Kick the bum out! Thanks..
