Re: Shikha Uberoi thread ...
Slow but sure improvement from Shikha. Now for the next step, please win R1 this time. Irrespective of the outcome, one must be proud of her -- battling it out on the field as well as with her asthma.

Re: Shikha Uberoi thread ...
Shikha is making a fan of everybody here with what she is doing these days.. You go girl! .. The main draw wins have been tough, but who cares? .. Sometimes the journey itself is the goal .. Keep the fire alive!

Re: Shikha Uberoi thread ...
Was hoping upset as Rampre was lowest ranking direct entry into maindraw ... Treta and Shivika entered in doubles draw as lucky-loser but lost easily against Japanese pair, who next play in quarters against top-seed Shikha and Mashona.

Re: Shikha Uberoi thread ...
Disappointing loss in singles: she is playing at the level of her ranking, but she is surely capable of doing much better. Good to see Shikha pressing on in doubles, though!
(Treta/Shivika seem to have over-reached a bit by trying to play Challengers in the US rather than Futures in Asia -- followed by Challengers in our part of the world; they are both really small-built girls, who look like babies especially when you compare them to the Russians -- as Akhtar Ali did when I talked about them to him at the nationals last December...!).

Re: Shikha Uberoi thread ...
Shikha's results have been odd -- she seems to completely dominate players below about 600 or so, but seems to noticeably struggle against top-400 or event top-500 players. Hope she wins the Q3 somehow. Based on recent results, it won't be an easy match though.
