That was an excellent win by the new pairing of Yuki and Robin in what was effectively their first match ( since they got a bye in first round and a walkover in second) over a pair which had won 4 ATP titles last year and had 5 more finals.

Looks like they are playing reasonably well. They have lost their last 4 matches at the ATP/GS level all in either the super tie-break or 3rd set tie-break (for Aus Open) and have won more points in 2 of the 4 matches. However, if they don't start winning, they will very likely explore new partners.

Ideally they should have won this match. In the STB they were down 0-6 and then made a comeback. Robin Hasse was playing very deliberately and was not moving either. Yuki was giving his all but was more erratic on the returns. I think Robin wants Yuki to say that it is enough . Thats how Robin played yesterday.
