Yuki will partner with Robin Haase at the Brisbane ATP 250 event. Balaji has also entered there with Victor Vlad Cornea. Ani/VSP seems to be back :-) and are 5 spots out of making it into the main draw.

Brisbane ATP 250:

R1 (8) Yuki Bhambri/ Robin Haase (NED) Bye

Up against the winner of Matwe Middelkoop/Denys Molchanov versus Ugo Humbert/Ben Shelton pairs.

:goodluck: to this new partnership!

Brisbane ATP 250:

R1 (8) Yuki Bhambri/ Robin Haase (NED) Bye
R2 (8) Yuki Bhambri/ Robin Haase (NED) walkover Ugo Humbert (FRA)/ Ben Shelton (USA)
QF (8) Yuki Bhambri/ Robin Haase (NED) 7-6 7-6 (3) Nathaniel Lammons (USA)/ Jackson Withrow (USA)
SF (8) Yuki Bhambri/ Robin Haase (NED) vs (2) Lloyd Glasspool (GBR)/ JJ Roger (NED)

Yuki and Saki lost to this very American pair 3x in 4 encounters last year, this new pairing seems to be doing well early on and hope they continue this partnership this season.

Yuki moves into the top-60 with this result, so far.

That was an excellent win by the new pairing of Yuki and Robin in what was effectively their first match ( since they got a bye in first round and a walkover in second) over a pair which had won 4 ATP titles last year and had 5 more finals.

Close loss for Yuki and Robin in the SF.

At Brisbane ATP 250

[SF] (8) Yuki Bhambri/ Robin Haase (NED) l. (2) Lloyd Glasspool (GBR)/ JJ Roger (NED) 36 76(5) 9-11

They made a very good comeback from a set down, had a match point on Yuki's serve 9-8 in match tie break. Anyway, good couple of matches by new team.

Yuki and Haase lost in first round.

At Marseille ATP 250, France (Hard)

[R1] (4) Yuki Bhambri/ Robin Haase (NED) l. Vasil Kirkov (USA) / Sebastian Korda (USA) 61 46 10-12

Another loss after winning the first set 6-1 like at the Australian open. They need to turn it around soon, else Yuki will need to move to a different partner.

Looks like they are playing reasonably well. They have lost their last 4 matches at the ATP/GS level all in either the super tie-break or 3rd set tie-break (for Aus Open) and have won more points in 2 of the 4 matches. However, if they don't start winning, they will very likely explore new partners.

Ideally they should have won this match. In the STB they were down 0-6 and then made a comeback. Robin Hasse was playing very deliberately and was not moving either. Yuki was giving his all but was more erratic on the returns. I think Robin wants Yuki to say that it is enough :) . Thats how Robin played yesterday.

Robin will need a new Batman, or become the Batman himself and find a new Robin.
