He is 4 out from Indian Wells doubles draw as of now with 2 pairs shown as repairing ( means 1 of the partner withdrew and other partner can join in with someone else). Hope Yuki gets to partner 1 of those who remain.
2 more pairs consisting of singles players sign in to replace withdrawals and 2 pairs above him in the entry list got wild cards. So, Yuki with Goransson remain 1 out.
Hope there is 1 witdrawal before first round is completed and than Yuki can get in.
Not liking this singles players signing in like that. Maybe they should restrict it to the top 20 players in singles as those are the players people are interested in watching. Having a 35 ranked singles player playing over a more accomplished doubles player does not seem right or fair.
There are a few singles players who have signed up for big 175 challengers in Phoneix and Cap Cana next week. So, if they lose in IW in next 2 days it is likely they will withdraw from doubles at IW which starts on Sunday. So, I think there is still hope for Yuki that he will get in.

sameerph, I hope you don't mind my mentioning this, but the word you're looking for above is "then", not "than", where I have bolded it. (The latter can be used for "more than this", but for something that could happen, it should be "then this can happen"; have noticed you using "than" for "then" a lot, so I thought I would point it out).
And thats Bops 4th R1 loss of the year out of the 5 tournaments played. Dodig/Bops will never work like before and bops is defending 1000 points in Miami. With current Bops form , High chance that Yuki might become the India No.1 soon.

Good win by Yuki after long wait to get into draw. Up against highly ranked and second seeded opponents whom he had beaten in Dubai ATP 500 finals. Yuki/Goransson have a combined rank of 84 (39/45) so a good win against opponents with a combined rank of 58 (24/34). However, their next opponents have a combined rank of 7 (3/4) so tough match but Yuki has been pulling off these kinds of wins lately. Good luck to him!
Congrats to Yuki for first masters level win and now he is #35 in live doubles rankings. Still, 3 players below him who can overtake Yuki in rankings with more wins at Indian Wells. But, this will be a significant step for Yuki to make the masters main draws regularly.
Yes, it's Yuki's first Masters level doubles win. But of course, he made R3 in singles at Indian Wells (Masters) in 2018, beating then-#11 Lucas Pouille.
If Yuki's live ranking is maintained until the end of the tournament, he would become the 6th-highest-ranked Indian doubles player ever (in the Open era) -- after LP, MB, RB, VA, AA.
[R-16] Yuki Bhambri[IND]/A. Goransson [SWE] v. [2] H. Heliovaara [FIN]/H. Patten (GBR] 62 57 10-5
Impressive win for Yuki over the second best pair in world! One more win will likely get him into the top 30 and a title would help him crack the top 20.
