Why would someone intentionally play poorly unless they are a masochist or have a plane to catch to rest before a much bigger tournament.

Another dominant win by Yuki and Cash to move into SF at Stockholm.

At Stockholm ATP 250, Sweden (Hard)

[QF] Yuki Bhambri (IND) / Julian Cash (GBR) d. Harri Heliovaara (FIN) / Patrik Niklas-Salminen (FIN) 61 63

Next,

[SF] Yuki Bhambri (IND) / Julian Cash (GBR) vs. Tallon Griekspoor (NED) / Bart Stevens (NED)

This Dutch pairing reached QF at Wimbledon losing Bops and Ebden there. So, this would be a tough for Yuki and Cash.

Good win by Yuki and partner! Looks like he is getting back to form and likely has a partner that can complement his somewhat unconventional doubles strengths.

Cash's partner (Patten) also played here, so Cash may also be looking for a long term change after having had a good year with the same partner over the last year.

And Yuki into his second ATP final of the year. Made a strong comeback after losing a close first set.

At Stockholm ATP 250, Sweden (Hard)

[SF] Yuki Bhambri (IND) / Julian Cash (GBR) d. Tallon Griekspoor (NED) / Bart Stevens (NED) 67(8) 63 10-3

Next,

[F] Yuki Bhambri (IND) / Julian Cash (GBR) vs. Andrey Golubev (KAZ) / Denys Molchanov (UKR)

Golubev and Molchanov have upset top seeds and fourth seeds here . So, they wont be easy. But, last week they lost to Bala and Begemann in Bratslava Challenger final.

At Stockholm ATP 250, Sweden (Hard)

[F] Yuki Bhambri (IND) / Julian Cash (GBR) l. Andrey Golubev (KAZ) / Denys Molchanov (UKR) 67(8) 26

Similar kind of first set like SF but this time they could not mount a comeback. But, this shows how close the higher level challengers and these lower level ATP events are in doubles. Golubev and Molchanov lost in final of 125 challenger against Balaji and his partner and this week they win an ATP tournament.

Yuki is upto #64 in live rankings. He and Cash will play Brest Challenger 100 next week.

He won ~€3,400 for the week. Not bad. Should cover up expenses.

This is Yuki’s 8th challenger title in the last 2 years mostly with Saki. Cash has won an astonishing 14 challenger titles in the last 2 years mostly with Patten but no ATP titles yet.

Yuki did win one ATP title with Harris and Yuki and Cash reached an ATP final last week. Hopefully, they continue to play together to see if they can win consistently at the ATP level.

At the ATP Moselle Open (France)

The German pair lost in the final of the Ismaning Challenger last week to Balaji/Begemann.

Yuki lost in first round with a new partner.

At the ATP Moselle Open (France)

[R1] Yuki Bhambri/Victor Vlad Cornea (IND/ROM) l. Constantin Frantzen/Hendrik Jebens (GER/GER) 36 67(4)

With that Yuki posted that he has ended his 2023 season. Live rankings of 62, can move down a few places if others play/do well in this week or next couple of weeks at challengers. But, he should still comfortably get into Australian open main draw. Hope he gets a good partner and notches a few wins in AO series which will further boost his ranking.
