Hope what globosport said is true. I haven't seen much of yuki though. But he has been winning quite few tournaments. Is he brother of Ankita and sanaa? I guess so.

A bit premature to start this thread, but it will be exciting to follow this kid's progress over the next few years. Clearly has about as much potential as Ramesh or Leander showed at the same age...actually, Karan Rastogi too had the same amount of promise (he was the top-ranked 13-year-old in the world, etc.).

Does anyone know what Yuki's schedule is? He needs to seriously start playing tournaments int he US so he can play top level competition and get tons of exposure.

awesome job by apollo tyres to do this..its high time we sponsored one of our youn gindians. hopefully he gets good training abroad such as at bolletieris or something...cuz this kid is really talented.

Lucky guy to got chance to visit NBTA and get inputs on his game & fitness.

Count me in as one who is never sold on NBTA trips for Indian kids.  I don't know why, but I have been a non-believer in that whole idea for a long time.  Still am.

Yuki hopefully has it in him to go places anyway, NBTA or not.  The training would not have hurt, of course - don't get me wrong;  just that we should not have very high hopes just because of NBTA trips.  How well he is coached in India, which coach works with him day-to-day, which (if any) coach accompanies him at tournaments, what gym/trainer he works out with in India, how much time he puts in, etc, will have a lot more effect.

I share the same opinion with Jay about Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy.  It is a two tiered place - one tier is for people like Maria Sharapova who get the A+ treatment and another tier is for the other players who are not considered to have the potential to become top players and they get the run-of-the-mill treatment.  Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy is still a good place to train.

Also, two weeks of training will do very little without follow-up.  Hopefully, his coach (or dad) makes good notes of what he does and and then follows a training and practising regime year around (or if the teaching at the NBTA is not good follows some other equally rigorous regime).

The list is pretty strong but he's the best player there by far.

There is an interesting Indian name - Balakrishnan from Australia. He is seeded second. It may be good for us watch his progress.
