RSS feed now available for your Feedreaders
For those of you that use RSS feedreaders we now have an RSS feed for both the latest 5 posts and also the news headlines. There should soon also be an RSS feed for the TennisIndia website. Just go to the links below for the RSS feed and add them to your RSS newsreaders. There is also an RSS feed of the photo albums but that might be slightly buggy.

Thanks Dhruv -- the RSS feeds work and look great! It's so much easier keeping track of every post using them!
Three cheers for Dhruv!

PS -- My only suggestion would be to let the news readers see more than only the last 5 posts -- like maybe the last 25 is better for someone who only wants to check once a day.

I'm surprised I didn't come to this sooner. Sorry nkoth.
Well I have increased the default number of articles to 15 from 5 but you can now customise the number of articles you want to download from the site
Just type www.sports-india.com/rss.php?c=XXXX
where XXXX = a number between 0 to 50 depending on the number of posts you want. I haven't really tried more than 50 so maybe it works but I don't really know why you would want more than 50 posts downloaded.
HTH.

Hi
I did not really understand what this RSS feed is? Whenever i log into sports-india.com it automatically showas all the posts that were posted since my last visit. So what is the use of this RSS feeder?

Basically RSS is a format that allows all the web-based content to be transported to your desktop without you having to visit the site (using RSS aggregators). So if you only wanted to read all the latest messages on your desktop from say BBC, rediff, Sports-India etc without having to visit each site you could program your rss news reader (eg Feedreader) to visit the RSS site of those sites. Basically what the feed reader will then do is every so often it will connect to the sites, check if there is any new material and if there is it will download it for you to read at your convienience.
Simple explanation is its like getting email from whichever news site you want to (providing they give RSS feed) with all the new and relevant articles that you want. Some sites provides only snippets of news and you have to visit ot read the entire article articles whereas others allow you read the entire article on your desktop. I hope that explains it.
