Re: Rohan Bopanna thread...
Bops and Ebden also lost in second round.
At Rome Masters 1000, Italy (Clay)
[R2] (7) Rohan Bopanna (IND)/ Matthew Ebden (AUS) l. Alex de Minaur (AUS) / Jason Kubler (AUS) 62 67(8) 10-12
They missed match points in both second set tie break and match tie break.
Good that Bops has already sealed top 10 spot for next Monday.

Re: Rohan Bopanna thread...
Which entry date ? For Olympics ? That is next year June. Long way off. I was just talking from some sort of achievement point of view at this age.

Re: Rohan Bopanna thread...
Haven’t seen Bops enter any tournaments since Wimbledon.
His partner is playing with someone else in Washington. Anyone know if Bops is injured?

Re: Rohan Bopanna thread...
^^^ No. He is taking a longer break than usual after Wimbledon which is understandable for his age. He starts from Toronto where he is in the entry iist along with Ebden.

Re: Rohan Bopanna thread...
Rohan has reached the quarter final of the Shanghai Masters. I think nobody reported this.

Re: Rohan Bopanna thread...
He is still #7 in live rankings. Everyone above him has lost in Shanghai though, so if he wins this tournament ,he will go to #5.
From the olympics qualification perspective, his big points to defend are mostly post June 24 which is the cut off for Paris Olympics qualification. So, I think if he has a decent first half with couple of deep runs in 500 and above tournaments will do, a good run at Australian open will be even better as he has nothing to defend there.
