As you predicted Maaya has withdrawn from J300 Plovdiv Bulgaria today, this almost confirms she would be in India for BJKC cup , which I feel is not a good decision, just to be in the reserves, may be it's mandatory from AITA to be present for the tournament though in reservessameerph wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 2:49 pm ^^^ Yes, she is but those are still early entry list where withdrawal deadline has not yet passed. We will know with at least reasonable assurance that she will play there when her name is still there after withdrawal deadline is over. For J300 Plovdiv Bulgaria, we should know by Tuesday night India time and for Germany the deadline is only on 8th April. She can still withdraw after withdrawal deadline but those withdrawals are fewer.
So, if Maaya is still in the entry list in Bulgaria after 2 days, we can assume that she is not coming back to India for BJKC cup which is in same week.

Re: Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi thread
If AITA is not patriotic, the least they could have done is not put roadblocks in young players journey.
Sometimes I wonder if we need ill-wishers / terrorists from outside when we have such administrators. They should have either selected her in main team or let her develop.
Maaya has to waste two weeks acting as hitting partner while our team will again miss golden opportunity to progress to the next round.

Re: Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi thread
Generally, these opportunities are supposed be useful for younger players to hit with the "top" pros and learn from them on training habits etc. So, many countries have younger players in their Davis Cup, BJK Cup teams etc.
However, Maaya probably is getting as good (or better) exposure to top pros in the Rafa academy, so perhaps this "opportunity" could have been given to another young player.

Re: Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi thread
Yes, looks like that way. Maaya is now in early entry list of J200 in France in the week starting April 14 and in early entry list of J500 Offanbach in Germany. These are the 2 tournaments which count for her to make it to Roland Garros main draw by improving her ranking. Else, she will have to play qualiesdeekshith_ttr wrote: Tue Mar 25, 2025 3:23 pmAs you predicted Maaya has withdrawn from J300 Plovdiv Bulgaria today, this almost confirms she would be in India for BJKC cup , which I feel is not a good decision, just to be in the reserves, may be it's mandatory from AITA to be present for the tournament though in reservessameerph wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 2:49 pm So, if Maaya is still in the entry list in Bulgaria after 2 days, we can assume that she is not coming back to India for BJKC cup which is in same week.

Maaya has now withdrawn from J200 of France , so that leaves her with final tournament J500 Offanbach in Germany to make it to entry list of maindraw of Rolland Garros, else she would have to play qualies.

Her Priority is listed at no-2 in offenbach so I think she will take the route of J300 in kuching malaysia, and then play the asian closed championship in thailand, since she is coming to india for fedcup a smart decision i must say(these are all my assumption don't know the exact plan of her
)

First week counts for French open juniors as the entry deadline for the same is April 28. So, she will need a deep run to SF or better there to try to directly get into FO main draw, second week of course will count for Wimbledon juniors.

Re: Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi thread
Maaya has got into W50 Yecla qualifier draws starting from 27th April and is currently 4th seeded , so she has withdrawn from juniors Asian closed championships.sameerph wrote: Sun Apr 13, 2025 9:22 amMaaya is indeed playing in J300 Kutching, Malayasia in week of April 21 and than Asian closed championships in the week of April 28 next,Abish arul wrote: Mon Mar 31, 2025 8:10 am Her Priority is listed at no-2 in offenbach so I think she will take the route of J300 in kuching malaysia, and then play the asian closed championship in thailand, since she is coming to india for fedcup a smart decision i must say(these are all my assumption don't know the exact plan of her)
This would be first comeback tournament for Maaya to the Women's tennis after the semifinals run in Mumbai W125k

Re: Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi thread
Good call. Points for Asian championships would not count for French open juniors entry anyway. It would have been tempting to try to become an Asian champion and also secure her spot for junior slams of the year but playing W50 event in Spain is also good. She is just 4 out and can make the main draw with a few withdrawals or as a wild card.

Re: Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi thread
Maaya pulled out of those womens tournaments. As put in other thread, Maaya had a surprise first round loss last week at J300 in Malaysia. Now, it looks she is preparing European clay season. She looks slated next to play in J500 in Milan, Italy in the week of May 19.
