Tight match. Saw the last game briefly, it was 7-7 and the next point Adina won. Manika took time out at 7-8 and then won 4 points straight. Happy to see Manika get the win. Also, this is Manika's first world cup appearance as well.

Both Manika & Sreeja lost against fancied opponents in their 2nd Round Robin match & crashed out of the Event. Sreeja was, although, able to take a Set off Chen Meng (WR#4).

This Tournament followed a strange scoring system in the Group stage with a fixed number of four (04) Sets being played irrespective of the number of Sets being won by any Player like it can be 4-0 or even 2-2 also with the Match ending in a stalemate (No clear Winner), in terms of number of Sets won by each Player!!!

The tournament shall consist of 2 stages.

In Stage 1 the players will be divided into 16 groups of 3 players, with all members of a group playing each other (round robin).
To ensure that the final round matches are significant for each competing player, the order of play in group matches will be – round one 2 vs 3; round two 1 vs loser of match 1, round three 1 vs winner of match 1. Matches of Stage 1 shall be 4 games (result 4-0,3-1 or 2-2).
The first-place finishers of each group shall qualify for the Stage 2 of the competition.

Stage 2 of the competition shall consist of a knockout draw. Matches of Stage 2 shall be the best of 7 games.
