Sankar Muthuswamy could not follow up on his upset and lost to 31st ranked Christo Popov 10-21, 14-21 in the QF of Swiss open. So, unless these youngsters show consistency, top 20 ranking is still a bit far.
Tresa/Gayatri justfied their 4th seeding though by reaching the SF with an easy straight games win. They will be up against world top ranked Chinese pair in the SF though against whom they lost last week at All England.

Re: BWF European Series tournaments- Feb/March 2025
Tresa/Gayatri lost against world #1 Chinese team after winning the first 21-15. They lost the next 2 games 15-21 12-21.
Still encouraging to see them getting close to top level. I saw their last 2 matches, a couple of years back I had thought that Gayatri Gopichand is weaker link in this pair, but no more, she was equally good as Tresa in those matches being so good at net and at defense.
If they continue this progress, they can be medal contenders by LA 2028.
