^^Please don’t put it here (in this thread). Put it in General Chit chat or something like that although it’s not worth digging up the grave.

P.S. @PKB and @ericcw, I can PM the gist to you, if that’s okay.

Hitesh Chauhan (IND,217) has reached the final of boys singles at J200 in Hongkong with wins over 7th Yu Xia (CHN,184), top seed Kuan-Shou Chen (TPE,74) and 5th seed Hiromasa Koyama (JPN,162).

Only last over Japanese was in 3 close sets, his other wins this week has been in straight sets.

He meets another Japanese Shion Itsusaki ranked 152 in the final. Itusaki is on a 9 match winning streak in Hongkong after a winning J100 title last week.

I don't know... I should get more excited about 16 year old Hitesh's superb run... it maybe because there are "murmurs" out there about Hitesh's age, but I don't have any authentic info to say if that is right or wrong. The kid has a thick/strong body type and has had a thin mustache since he was 12 or 13 years old in the pictures available, so there is that. But any age advantage one has would normally go away by the time they are in their final years, so we will see how he does in a year's time. Hopefully he is just a big kid who grew early and that is all.

EDIT: I take that back!!! Just checked his official DOB, and it is actually Dec 25th, 2007, so he will be 17 years old soon, as per his official DOB. He does not look much older than that in the pictures I see. So I am going to discard the murmurs and get excited about HItesh :) Go, Hitesh, Go! Be the "God of Hits" like your name indicates :)

Hitesh will move up to around #160 now, as India #3 behind Kriish and Rethin. Should be close to top-100 in January. He is in good shape to make top junior events in his final year in the ITF junior tour (2025)

Hitesh could not break the winning streak of Shion Itsusaki (JPN,152) and lost 36 16 in the final.

Anyway, Hitesh will move inside 160 in the rankings now and should be in top 100 at least in the new year rankings which should be good enough to make qualifying at Australian open juniors.

Krisha Mahendran was the 2nd seed in the qualies for the big "Orange Bowl" J500 in Plantation, Florida, and made the main draw with three easy straight sets wins. Kriish is a direct entry into the main draw. Indian-American Ronit Karki got a wildcard to the MD too.

^^^ India #1 junior Krisha Mahendran (IND,130) beat fellow-qualifier Marie Slamenikova (CZE,151), 64 63 to make the R32 at the Plantation "Orange Bowl" J500 in Florida, USA (Green Clay), today. A nice 4 match win streak from the qualies onward, without dropping a set, by Krisha... She plays the 14th seed Aspen Schuman (USA,46) next.

Kriish Tyagi (IND,63) got upset by qualifier Haydar Cem Gokpinar (TUR,110) in a tough match, 46 75 46... Kriish made a comeback after Haydar served for the match at 5-3 in the second set, and even led 2-0 in the third set, but then got broken twice and lost the match.

A big upset by qualifier Krisha Mahendran (IND,130) at the J500 "Orange Bowl" in Plantation, Florida, USA (clay)! ... She beat the 14th seed Aspen Schuman (USA,46), 46 60 63, to advance to the PQF. Up next is one of the most talented 15 year olds in the world, 4th seed Hannah Klugman (GBR,26) who was ranked as high as #6 earlier. Should be a good match!

It seems we never updated result of that match of Krisha. She lost in a very close match 61 16 67(7) in Orange Bowl third round.

This week Krisha is in Australia playing qualifying at J300 in Trararlgon. She qualified thru to main draw and had a big upset win over #9 ranked Teodora Kostovic of Serbia 75 64 but went down in second round against Annika Penickova (USA,36) 36 26.

Hitesh could not upset the 5th seed in the PQF. 63 26 26 loss...
