Re: 2025 European Tour
Have Indian golfers ever moved up as the final day approaches? I know there will be exceptions, but it seems our golfers keep slipping down the leaderboard as a rule.
@prajgolf—any thoughts?

Re: 2025 European Tour
Yes, the golfers are not consistent for all 4 rounds. Last year too, some players who performed well in the initial rounds were unable to perform well in the final rounds.
The lack of consistency is evident in the current world rankings, where no Indian players are currently listed in the Top-100 (both men & women).

Re: 2025 European Tour
Isn’t this also to do with difficult pin placings for the weekend rounds and the pressure finishing higher to secure crucial World ranking and Order of Merit points to secure playing privileges etc. if some of our players can find a win early, the pressure will be off and they can play aggressively on later rounds with not much to lose…

@Prem—regardless of pin placing—they’re the same for everyone—I can’t recall hardly any instance of our players improving over the four days. Not one at least readily. Both men and women. It’s just an enigma. And they usually start well, say in the middle of the pack, but end up at the very bottom.

Re: 2025 European Tour
Agree to some extent but we also had some great results too by Jeev, Arjun, Anirban, Subhankar, Aditi, Diksha etc. in old and recent times.Atithee wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2025 8:41 pm @Prem—regardless of pin placing—they’re the same for everyone—I can’t recall hardly any instance of our players improving over the four days. So let’s hope we have some breakthrough performances soon.
