Re: ITF Junior Circuit India 2025
Haven't checked but it seems to be that Aus Open players would have been further ahead of Arjun (i.e., inside the top 100) in any case. However, I wonder if 2 weeks points got added together as is the case for the mens and womens rankings.

Re: ITF Junior Circuit India 2025
Possibly some of those who qualified into the Australian Open and Traralgon have had their points updated now, hence went ahead of Arjun Rathi.

Re: ITF Junior Circuit India 2025
No you are not wrong. There is some volatility, but even with a two week update, I don't think I have ever seen our calculations for ranking spots go off by more than 6 or 7 spots (never more than 3 or 4 spots after one-week updates). This was extremely unusual for him to be 13 spots below what we expected.sameerph wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2025 5:09 pm No, I did not and what I had noticed that it does not go down that much. Maybe I was wrong. But, Arjun has not been inactive player, he played last week. For Maaya what I calculated when she won J300, she did end up 3-4 spots down. But, in case of Arjun it is about 12-13 points down. Maybe because of Australian open points for other players. I am currently not able to view full rankings to see who are the players who went above him.

Re: ITF Junior Circuit India 2025
And I don't think there is 2 week gap in ITF junior rankings even during slams. I am curious as to who are 12-13 who went ahead but unfortunately ITF juniors rankings still not uploading for me on ITF website.

Is this the list you’re looking for? It also shows the movements.

Sorry for the bad formatting, but these are some of the big movers who are ranked higher than him. Does this help?

I already listed the big movers to get you started. Of course, you are the expert. I’m glad you were finally able to load the table.

Re: ITF Junior Circuit India 2025
There are 5 players in that list of top 100 who have had big moves upwards. I do not see rankings between 101-107, there may be a couple there with big moves upwards. So, 7 players moving ahead of Arjun. He should have been 102, still do not understand 108. I do not know Arjun's points, did I calculate it wrong.

Re: ITF Junior Circuit India 2025
Hmm. The other site has a scroll button to go below 100. Anyway, this site has biggest movers etc. to the left and if you click on player’s name (may have to search by player or just biggest movers will bring up Arjun on the top for the last six months filter), you can also see his points and ranking graph that may validate your point calculations. I’ll post the 101-107 list later for your analysis.sameerph wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 4:24 pm There are 5 players in that list of top 100 who have had big moves upwards. Re: ITF Junior Circuit India 2025
Thanks, so looks like Arjun has 487.5 points which is lower than 513.5 which I and Jay had calculated. That explains it, at that point tally he would have been 101-102 I think which would have been about 6-7 spots below where we expected hum based on last week's points tally. That is understandable. Now, I am looking for Arjun's points break-up to see where we calculated wrong. That is their on ITF site but still does not show up for me.

Re: ITF Junior Circuit India 2025
^^^^That is a mystery. His top 6 singles results includes 10 points for a J100 event in Nairobi but does not count 36 points for the J200 in Chandigarh starting on Jan 13, 2025. Is this a mistake? Or is there some basis to exclude the higher point earning tournament (for example, if it is the same tournament from a year earlier but the date has shifted so it is earlier this year; which is clearly not the case here).

Re: ITF Junior Circuit India 2025
Oh, that is the 26 points difference. I am pretty sure those 36 points were there in his last week's rankings. Looks like they made a mistake unless there is some reason for exclusion of those points. But, have never seen this.
