I want to come to scout some areas in india. Are Indian Arrows the best team to start with?

Re: I-League Football
The traditional powerhouses of Indian football and where most of our players used to come from were Bengal, Kerala, Punjab, Goa and maybe Karnataka, Mumbai. But, in the last decade or two, football has been quite popular in the northeast. Services has been a very good team recently. Do you want to scout juniors or more finished products? If you want juniors, then Indian Arrows is the best. But, other clubs have some good juniors coming through too. Tata Football Academy and AIFF Academy are the academies but they have not produced as many great junior players of late.

Re: I-League Football
Not sure of the awareness of this on this board, but some disappointing news came out from Goa back in June.
Salgaocar FC, one of the biggest and most historic & popular clubs from South Goa, have ceased senior team operations. Many of you might remember them from the NFL and i-League (prior to the formation of the ISL).
Achievements:
- First Goan club to win the Durand Cup
- First Goan club to win the Federation Cup
- First Goan club to win the National Football League
- I-League winners 2010/11 season
Development of multiple future Indian internationals, including Brahmanand Shankhwalkar & Bruno Coutinho - both of whom would go on to become the captain of the national team & Arjuna Award winners.

^^^ Yes, it was truly sad to see Salgoacar folding. We didn't have a discussion but Rajiv had this post about the demise - http://www.sports-india.com/phpBB/viewt ... 0#p4453560

Re: I-League Football
I have no idea why you would want to concatenate A and A though. Seems like you get more of the same sound. Is it really needed?
