By winning her first ITF title and that too a W25 one, 21 year old Shrivalli has earned her own thread.

Her win in the SF against Thai second seed was her career best win. With 50 points from this title, Shrivally will move up to a career high ranking of around 520 in WTA singles rankings.

Terrific week indeed for Shrivalli, and particularly the wins over the fourth seed (R2) and second seed (SF). She also demonstrated the composure needed to win a title on the first attempt. Very good signs indeed.

Congratulations to Shrivalli for a terrific run at WTA Mumbai open 125 where she qualified in and got a main draw win. So, 3 wins against much higher ranked players ( one of them against a top 100 one) before losing a very close one against talented 16 year old who is ranked in top 140 in the world.

With that run, Shrivalli will move to a carrer high ranking of around 475. But, hopefully this week will prove to be a turnaround in her career and she will move up fast soon.
