At the Chennai M25, Jelle Sels had nothing left to sell today, as his game didn't jell.

[SF] Mukund Sasikumar (IND,554) d. Jelle Sels (NED,711), 62 20 RET.

So Mukund won't be tired for the final. Tomic vs Vanshelboim is underway in the other semi.

And Mukund plays former top 20 play Bernard Tomic in the final.

[SF] Mukund Sasikumar (IND,554) vs. (1) Bernard Tomic (AUS,290)

Tomic is tough but nowhere close to player he once was. Lost a lot of matches to lowly ranked players. So, if Mukund plays his best game he may have a chance.

Tomic proved too strong for Mukund.

[F] Mukund Sasikumar (IND,554) l. (1) Bernard Tomic (AUS,290) 46 67(3)

Still, this nice run after 2 bad weeks gets Mukund 16 points and will get back inside top 500. Hope he uses this to have a good run at India challengers.

Yes, a very nice week for Mukund, and he put up a decent fight against the former top-20 player in the final too.

Hopefully, he'll get main draw wild-cards in the Challengers and will be able to capitalise on them. He will need this week's form to carry him through into next month.
