We have some chance to go for 28.......
Wow. Unbelievable. If we get to 25, I will be happy. 26 would make me very happy. 27 will make me open a bottle. Six golds on the last day to get to 28 will have my wife calling a doctor after I faint.

Don't think Jay Meena is the top seed or anything like that, but he has beaten a Taiwanese and an Indonesian in the group stages thereby topping his group. While both the Taiwanese or the Indian he might face in quarters came second in their group. So may be a good chance from the point of view.

No, 28 is not that far fetched. 22 as of now. Both from compound archery, both from Kabaddi, Cricket and Badminton. Except for perhaps mens kabaddi where it will be equal chance, we are favorites in other 5 events.

There is also outside chance in chess!!! You never know Iran came on Pressure at final moments...We have seen quality players like Abdusattarov in Tata steel losing title due to last minute nervousness!!

You have more hope on women's kabaddi than men's? Women drew with Taiwan, whom we face again. Men ... after all these professional leagues, fitness improvements, etc. we are going to lose to Iran? I mean it may happen but surely our chance should be above 50-50?

Haha. They were indeed favorites but 1-8 head to head made me scared. :D

They play Korean #2 pair ranked 15 in the world. SatChi are 2-0 head to head against them. The Korean pair has beaten world #2 Chinese pair in second round. But, that is one really very good win by them here, in SF they beat a 12th Taiwanese pair . I would put SatChi are favorites for this.
???????????????????????????????
When you told they beat a 12th Taiwanese pair I thought it's the yang pohan duo...But no...It's the Olympic champions and they have thrashed them. Satchi will be the faves but only slightly.

Just a guess, have not followed Kabaddi closely. I think women may be a little taken by surprise in first match against Taiwan, I assume they will be better prepared in the final. Iran somehow I feel is a very strong team. some of the guys are playing in our leagues and shining.

Again I maybe totally wrong but as now I will say 55-45 for women and 50-50 in mens kabaddi.

Ok, in that case it is only 55-45 for SatChi.

In my opinion, women kabaddi will be 60-40 and men will be 55-45!!

I would think 55-45 for both. But, well, maybe Iran is better than us.

In any match, in any sport, between close teams, it is never more than 60-40 anyway. And, we have been shocked by Iran before in kabaddi.

Whoever wins the women's compound individual gold will top the archery standings.
