True. Only Olympic criteria is defined by IOC for badminton, other events are left to the mercy of federation.
Btw, i was disappointed none of the important matches from MS were shown on Sports 18 yesterday and BWF live TV was showing matches only on 2 courts, so its on broadcasters to be kind enough to broadcast the sports they bought the rights for!! Beats me why they buy rights when they don't plan to telecast? Actually the tournament went off schedule from its broadcast schedule. Pathetic that non cricket sports don't get much coverage here.

Prannoy comfortably wins his match with Priyanshu 21-18 21-12. Seems Priyanshu was able to get better of one of his senior academy partner but not the other.

Prannoy has a heart breaking loss after being match point up. Still a good result. Next is the world championship.

Saw the match, Prannoy is a clever player and played to the best of his ability so inspite of losing the 1st game tamely, he could win a challenging 2nd game snd looked all set to win the 3rd game by leading all the way with some 4 point lead. From 19-14 he had a meltdown of sorts and lost 5 straight points. There was another rally of 72 shots when again Prannoy was leading 20-19 which Prannoy lost and both players collapsed on to court.Prannoy couldn’t convert the championship point he had and H Weng won this match purely on merit of his defensive game.

Over to World championships, draws will be out on 10th August.
Indian medal chances from highest to lowest ate in MD, MS , WD and WS in that order.

So we won 2 and had one final loss in this series of tournaments. Not great but not bad either and now we go to BWF championships - we have won a medal at the World championships or Olympics every year since 2010. Let's see if we can keep this record going for one more year.
