India name 10-member chess contingent for Asian Games
The men’s team comprises Grandmasters D Gukesh, Gujrathi, Erigaisi, P Harikrishna and R Praggnanandhaa.
In the women’s section, Humpy, Harika, R Vaishali, Vantika Aggarwal and Savitha Shri will participate in the team event.
In individual categories, India will field Vidit Gujrathi and Arjun Erigaisi in the men’s section and Humpy and Harika in the women’s section.

This is really unfortunate. No Anand. By FIDE Ratings, after Ding, Firouzja, our bronze chance would be with Anand. Azerbaijan would have 2 in the top 13 and we would have two in the top 15. China two in the top 19 and 3 in the top 23. India 3 in the top 25. Iran two in the top 28. World live FIDE rankings. But, now, we are missing one. We have five in the top 30 though. So, depth is good. Why is Anand missing this?

Looks like Firouzja now represents France, so shouldn't be able to compete in Asian Games.

Anand has been semi-retired for a while so no surprise there. Team makes sense, would have included Nihal at the cost of Hari since the former is a better faster time control player (and a former Asian blitz champion).
