There are a lot of simultaneous ITF tournaments in Thailand for men and women from next week till at least September-October as of now. So, opening this thread for discussing these.

Next 3 weeks there will be simultaneous tournaments in Nakhon Si Thammarat. In men M15 for next 2 weeks and M25 in third week, for women W25 in first week and W15 in next 2 weeks.'

For first week M15, we have Manish Sureshkumar, SDPD, Karan, Rishab Agarwal, Siddharth Vishwakarma and Nitin Kumar Sinha in main draw. Sid Banthia and Abhinav Sanjeev in qualies. Similar one in second week.

For first week W25, Vaidehi will be among top 4 seeds, Zeel, Sowjanya, Shrivalli and Humera will also be in main draw. Few lesser ones in qualies. For second week W15, only Shrivalli and Humera in main draw as of now but Vaishnavi Adkar has entered the qualies.

In the qualifying for M15 for men, 2 Indians who were seeds top seed Siddhanth Banthia and 6th seed Abhinav Sanjeev lost in Q1 itself. But, 14th seed Arjun Mahadevan qualified for main draw beating 8th seeded Australian pair in Q2 13-11 in third set.

In W25 for Women, 3 Indians were in qualifying but only Priyanshi Bhandari made it to Q2 and lost there.

So, we have 6 Indians in main draw in men and 5 Indians in Women.

Finally, a not-so-cruel draw for Vai C. I expect her to reach the SF from her quarter. SRB is facing an aging Lu who hasn’t won a match since March. So definitely winnable if she can play a consistent game. :goodluck:

Vai C comfortably winning the first set 6-1 against the local wildcard. Hope she makes a quick work in the second, as well. Meanwhile, Zeel and Sowjanya are all squared at 5-all in the opening set.

Vai C wins 6-1 6-1. Good start.

Yes, dominating win by Vaidehi. Sowjanya beat Zeel in the all Indian match-up. Compared to her junior achievements ( she reached AO QF), Zeel has been rather disappointing in her pro career.

Shrivalli lost in straight sets against the Chinese 6th seed.

In men, Manish won a close 3 setter against local player Wishaya who has been ranked in top 400 earlier.

These are today's results-

M15

[R1] (7) Manish Sureshkumar (IND,737) d. Wishaya Trongcharoenchaikul (THA,924) 64 67(5) 64

W25

[R1] Humera Baharmus (IND,847) l. Vivian Yang (NZL,817) 16 16
[R1] Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty (IND,760) l. (6) Jia-Jing Lu (CHN,534) 36 36
[R1] Sowjanya Bavisetti (IND,757) d. Zeel Desai (IND,635) 76(5) 63
[R1] (4) Vaidehi Chaudhari (IND,491) d. (WC) Tamachan Momkoonthod (THA,1325) 61 61

Sameer, you missed the 3rd Indian in the men’s draw. Nitin plays a Thai player in R2.

[Added that match above. Mod, Jay]

[R2] 7-Manish Sureshkumar (IND,744) l. Q-Ryotaro Taguchi (JPN,1392) 26 63 36
[R2] Siddharth Vishwakarma (IND,961) vs. 6-Palaphoom Kovapitukted (THA,722) 61 46 33
[R2] Nitin Kumar Sinha (IND,995) d. (WC) Krittin Koaykul (THA,1450) 75 75

Next up for Nitin is 2-Philip Sekulic (AUS, 515), the 19 year old of Montenegrin descent who started his pro career with the Futures in India in November 2021, losing to Manish in the final at Indore, but beating him in R2 in Delhi (I watched that match). Manish won their third encounter in the first round at Uppal's rural facility off the Gurugram-Faridabad road. (I watched the SFs there, but Manish was out by then). Sadly Manish has stagnated in the past 18 months, while young Sekulic is making modest but steady progress.

Vaidehi-Shrivalli are through to the doubles SF there. So is Banthia in men's doubles (after getting a walkover in the QF).

Siddhath Vishwakarma also came thru with a nice upset win over 6th seeded local player.

[R2] Siddharth Vishwakarma (IND,961) d. (6) Palaphoom Kovapitukted (THA,722) 61 46 64

So, we have 2 left in mens QF and 1 in womens QF.

M15

[QF] Nitin Kumar Sinha (IND,995) vs. (2) Philip Sekulic (AUS,515)

[QF] Siddharth Vishwakarma (IND,961) vs. Jacob Bradshaw (AUS,861)

W15

[QF] (4) Vaidehi Chaudhari (IND,491) vs. (6) Jia-Jing Lu (CHN,534)

Siddhant Banthia (playing his first tournament of the season) is through to the doubles semis with Finn Reynolds (NZL). They got a walkover in the QFs. Siddhant had a good season last year where he won a couple of M15s in Cancun and South Bend, Indiana. Also had a good win over Anirudh/VSP at the Tiburon Challenger. Seems like he has a knack for playing doubles.
