Final score:

T41 Anirban Lahiri -4, $131,000
And his team “Crushers” finished 2nd and wins $1,500,000 in prize money too.
So another $375,000 share for Anirban.
That makes it $506,000 winnings for this week where he played badly and finished T41 in a field of 47 players!!
Crazy money in LIV Golf

Even if tour shuts down after an year, he would have earned enough - play on the Asian Tour for a couple of years of cooling off period before getting re-admitted back on the main tour again.

Looks like he might earn around 10 million dollars this year itself.
His signing bonus may well have been $10mm or more based on some of other signing bonus. Definitely, a huge financial windfall for Anirban!

I would doubt Anirban got a signing bonus. He was enticed by the guaranteed bigger prize money.

I’ve seen press reports of him receiving a signing bonus apparently confirmed by him but declining to indicate the amount. The $10 mm was my speculation but usaindia indicates that there may be other speculations as well.

To continue the speculation, someone like Anirban who had a PGA tour card, would likely need at least a few million guaranteed to leave the PGA tour.

Since the LIV tour isn't a commercial venture (and it would be completely unviable if it were), it could disband at any time including next week or next month. My speculation is that this is the Saudi effort to curry favor with (or legally bribe) Trump and his power circle given how many of the tournaments are being held at Trump courses. If Trump croaks tomorrow (possible given that is in his 70s and obese), the tour would likely fold very soon after that.

Good to see nearly $125K prize money for a domestic tournament. Manu Gandas appears to be a new name at the top level of Indian golf…
