Nadeem broke his record again with 90.18 - wtf is going on!

Now Nadeem has a higher PB than Neeraj - I am sure Pakis are all celebrating their gold in Paris 2024 tonight.

Won R1 unanimously, will need to maintain that to win.

Whoa, now Nadeem with a 90.18 !!! His third PB of the day to go back ahead of Peters, to the top. :notworthy: (doing it to a Pakistani for the first time in my life!)

You are a better man than me Jay.

If Nadeem was winning with 85, I could have been ok but not at 90

Unanimous. No surprise there. Looked an even contest to me. No clear winner, but that's guaranteed decision for the piddly island....or any white contestant

^^^ Hey, Neeraj has his work cut out for him. The guy who idolizes him has just gone past him!

Good that he isn't there today, because the Pakistani beating him would have looked bad. It is basically Nadeem's day. He is in a zone. It happens!

First round to Sagar, and the next two rounds to the Brit. I guess this went just as they had pre-scripted, right?

No split decision though. Straight 5-0 loss.

If Sagar was the clear winner, he would have won.

This felt like a split decision to the Brit so went unanimous to the Brit.

Very suspicious to break your PB 3 times in 6 throws. Let's see if spinach played a role.

So we will have to wait till tomorrow for badminton to bring us a couple of golds (hopefully) and an outside chance for Achanta for a final hurrah (tough when a Pitchfork attacks him)... and that will be it?

[No, I am not even hoping for hockey to do anything]

Sagar clearly ran out of gas in R2 and R3. Got a blow to his eye and didn't seem very concentrated after that. Since we have lost many more evenly contested bouts, this doesn't feel bad at all. XD

The thought crossed my mind too. Very difficult to do what he just did, in the normal way. Especially to go up by some 3-4 meters out of the blue like that with 3 PBs.

We are at 55 medals and 18 golds so far. Already above our predictions, right? At least just above "satisfied" levels for me. 60 medals and 20 golds would make me quite happy.

We have 5 gold medals and 1 bronze medal match.

So overall medal tally is either 60 or 61, and golds will be 18-23

We won 66 medals in 2018 with a 16 coming from shooting so definitely an improvement.
