However, will not be surprised if he and Jeevan are competitive in doubles.
Agree with this.

Stay somewhat competitive, stay fit is all we can hope for.

Hopefully the doubles is played first, and that gives Yuki some more time to get match-fit. Ebden will be jet-lagged after a quick dash from Melbourne, so hopefully Yuki (and Jeevan) will be able to take full toll of that advantage.

Quarantine rules

Pretty strict rules here. Seems like everything is well planned. Hope this tournament runs smoothly and gets some accreditation in the tennis calendar.

Yes quite strict rules in place...
Infact they have been around for quite a while, before last year I use to Travel 3 to 4 times a year for work, but since.Feb 2020 it is out of bounds for visitors and business travelers

Even the players cannot move outside the Hotel and are allowed practice only during certain fixed timings

2-all in the first set of Ramkumar vs Taro Daniel. Is any channel in India showing the match?

Taro Daniel raced to a 5-2 lead, winning the next 3 games (including a service break), RamK held his serve for 3-5, but then TD held at 15 to take the first set 6-3.

Ramkumar storms through the tiebreak, winning it 7-3, and it's one set all.

Ramkumar couldn't maintain the momentum into the final set :-(

Yuki's singles and doubles R1 matches aren't in the schedule for tomorrow (Tuesday), as the organizers seem to be giving special dispensation to Matt Ebden. That will mean that a lot of matches will be squeezed into the second half of the week -- and Ebden will likely play each other in singles and doubles on the same day (Wednesday probably).

Bopanna plays his R1 doubles match at noon on Court 1 tomorrow (Tuesday).

[R1] N. Sriram Balaji (IND, 144)/Luca Margaroli (SUI, 146) vs. WC-Shahid Alam (SGP, 1816)/Roy Hobbs (SGP, 2255) 75 61

5-2. Balaji/partner failed to convert their first set point, and the wildcards held serve instead. 5-3, Balaji serving for the set. Shockingly, Balaji's serve is broken, and it is 5-4 in the first set. Hobbs holds at 30, and the score is embarrassingly levelled at 5-5  The fired-up local pair had 3 break points at 15-40 on Margaroli's serve, but our pair managed to scrape through those 3 points to make it 6-5.

Normal order was restored thereafter, and Balaji/partner swept to a 7-5, 6-1 victory.

RamK had 15 aces and 3 double faults against only 1 ace and 2 double faults by Taro. So, he was +12 on those points. Still he got 6 points less than Taro. So, he managed to keep it close only because of his serve. Else, when the ball was in play, he was down 18 points which is a very big diference. Unless he does better on his return of serve and ground game he will find it diffcult to beat opopnents who are inside top 150 despite his much better serve.

RamK had 2 break points in the final set and failed to convert. He then gets broken in the following game. That was the difference in the 3rd set as both players held easily besides those 2 games.
