Karman lost the first set 6-7 (4). Serving at 2-3 in the second but it seems like half the service games are getting broken.

Karman lost 67 (4) 67(4). She was playing first match after almost a year. So, I would say decent fight.

Very good fight indeed from Karman in her first match for a very long time:

That is a really good sign that Karman has put her injuries behind. Great news.

PG wins 6-4 4-6 6-2. Good comeback after losing the second set.

Liam Broady might be tough but he has to win his first round first - the match is currently ongoing with the Brit serving to stay in the first set at 5-6. Perhaps, his French opponent might surprise us.

12-Prajnesh Gunneswaran (IND, 128) d. Brayden Schnur (CAN, 207) 64 46 62

Schnur is a 25-year-old with a career-high of 92 (from August 2019), so this is a very solid victory.

It seems a rusty win for Prajnesh, hoping for improved performance in the second round qualifying.

When I saw the live scores, Prajnesh was serving at 1-2, ad-out facing a break points. Glad to see that he comfortably won the third set 6-2.

Next,

[Q2] (12) Prajnesh Gunneswaran (IND,128) vs. Constant Lestienne (FRA,227)

So glad Broady lost. Ramk, if he wins the second round, will be up against a Spaniard who has a walkover in QR2. I just want both of our guys to make it to the FQR. :D

Good match for PG today. Safiullin who was Jr No 1 some years ago with a Jr GS could be a challenge.
RR also played well yesterday for the upset, it would make my day if they both got into the Main Draw along with SN!

Jai Ho to that!

Watched Wu against Jay Clarke and i will be very surprised if RamK doesn't go through. Wu is a grinder with a very weak back hand. If RamK plays anywhere near his best this should be done in straight sets.
