Re: US Open 2020
He got away with an infraction in the previous game when he did similar but managed to avoid hitting anyone.

Re: US Open 2020
This is absolutely sensational...
A runaway favourite for the title and with an agenda to change the establishment like the Davis Cup.
Saw this on twitter....
"Did u hear about the new restaurant called Karma....
there's no menu card...
u get what u deserve... "

Re: US Open 2020
We'll have a 1st time Grand Slam winner.
This tournament is turning out a lot like Wimbledon 1973 or some of the French Opens in the WCT dispute days

Re: US Open 2020
Wow, that is a real shocker. We will finally have a new grand slam champion, first time other than the big 3 winning since Andy Murray in 2016 Wimbeldon.
Rohan's doubles QF is today.

So the young guns Shapovalov, Zverev, Medvedev, Thiem are eyeing the semis and then the title!

Re: US Open 2020
And what about the youngest gun, Auger-Aliassime, who took out Andy Murray in straight sets? Thiem needs to beat him to progress to the last-8.

Re: US Open 2020
It was probably accidental -- he didn't deliberately aim to hurt the line-judge. But it was still a dangerous thing to do -- hitting the ball reasonably hard in the direction of the line-judge and the back fence. In a sparsely-populated stadium, how did he manage to hit one of the few people there? And that too, a line-judge right on the court!
He had a meltdown from having 3 set points on Carreno-Busta's serve. Lost them all, and about 9 points in a row before he hit the ball in frustration, and struck a female line-judge.
Deserved the punishment, and he behaved very boorishly afterwards.

Re: US Open 2020
Everything is possible with a Nikitasha Kitchennete.
I used to sort-of like Djokovic even though I was more of a Nadal fan. But, after his stupidity wrt COVID parties/tournaments and unrepenting comments after that and now this, I do not think I will even support him to win anything.
In the meantime, Djokovic should practice the following. Courtesy Svitolina.

But Varma, that was incredible control wasn't it? The balls were hit with some force. And Monfils trust in Svitolina! Well, they are boyfriend/girlfriend after all.
Note that this was done on Aug 17 or so --- before the Djokovic fiasco. Svitolina attack.

Damn, that was good. How did she do that? I thought it was edited or something, but it doesn't seem like it was.prasen9 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 07, 2020 5:14 pm In the meantime, Djokovic should practice the following. Courtesy Svitolina.

Re: US Open 2020
Reminds me of the knife throwing scene in the famous Bengali movie Joy Baba Felunath. Only thing Monfils didn't faint.prasen9 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 07, 2020 9:56 pm But Varma, that was incredible control wasn't it? The balls were hit with some force. And Monfils trust in Svitolina!
