No other contiguous areas in the states had a growth rate more than 25% above our national average today (3.503*1.25 = 4.379%) and 650+ new cases... The bad areas together had +23,829 cases to take their total to 350,798 cases at a bad area growth rate of 7.29%... The rest of the country had +33,602 cases to take their total to 1,345,982 at a good area growth rate of 2.56%. Today's good areas are where 79.3% of our current cases are.

Pretty much the same bad areas as in the last several days. Some vigorous growth to the north west of Lucknow-Kanpur in UP, up to Bareilli. Lots of village district cases coming from Bihar as well (which is actually good to see) - small numbers, though they add up. The Kolhapur area, south west side of Maharashtra is also flaring, but should die out soon. No big flares anywhere else. AP may have flattened a bit. TN is almost out of the bad list.

The rest of the country had +33,006 cases to take their total to 1,449,452 at a good area growth rate of 2.33%. Today's good areas are where 80.3% of our current cases are.

A nice drop of about 5K in daily counts in the last 2 days... And SAT and SUN are days when the numbers normally go up at a high rate. We have seriously slowed down in the last few days. I think we are past the inflection point on the daily growth curve (actually that probably came several days ago). Need to wait till next WED/THU to know if we are actually at some sort of peak. We could be, but I'm not too confident of calling it yet.
