No stream for Fed Cup. Only few videos out on twitter.
Ankita down 1-4 in the second set. Looks like this one will also be fought all the way.

En Shuo-liang (TWN, 205) has taken the second test 6-2 against Ankita.
And Ankita just served a double fault at Ad-out, and has been broken in the third set.63 26 02

I spoke too early. Never count the chickens when 1 more set is needed. Ankita lost 63 36 26. Now we must take the doubles match or its all gone...

It is now one set all in the doubles: 6-4, 4-6, 1-1.
So, the doubles is turning out to be a close match. ES Liang is playing with L Chan, so the TPE team is also a scratch team...

Sania-Ankita up a break at 2-1 and serving in the third set.... Now up 2 breaks and serving at 4-1, but facing a BP. Don't let the Taiwanese to come back yet again, ladies!
Just as I say it, they are broken back and is about to be broken back once more, at 4-3 and 0-30. Argh. Come on Sankita!
And broken again.... Now 4-4 and facing serve. Jeez. This is a choke job right now. Come on Sankita.
Alright! Broke them again at 4-4!!... Serving for the match at 5-4 ... 30-0, 30-15, 40-15 2MP, 40-30 MP (the Taiwanese won't go away)... YESSS!!!
Sankita won 64 46 64 and we take the tie!! .... Now solidly in second place. Indonesia tomorrow.

A win is a win. Phew!
Indonesia’s Sutjiadi (Univ of Kentucky alum) is a tricky player - Ankita has to be on her A-game to beat her tomorrow.

Re: Billie Jean King Cup (previously Fed Cup) - India
Standings now:
China 4-0 (11-1) - KOR next
India 3-1 (7-5) - INA next
Korea 2-2 (7-5) - CHN next
Indonesia 2-2 (6-6) - IND next
Taiwan 1-3 (4-8) - UZB next
Uzbekistan 0-4 (1-11) - TPE next
Assuming Korea finishes 2-3 after a loss to China, we have to beat Indonesia tomorrow to finish second. A 1-2 loss will leave is both at 8-7 in matches and they have head-to-head advantage. If we had won 3-0 today, we would've had to look at the order of tiebreaker. Now it doesn't matter. We need to win at least 2-1 tomorrow. Possible. Ankita must be so out of gas though.

Surprising losses in successive singles matches for Ankita. I suspect she’s feeling the pressure of Sania’s presence. But thankfully their doubles pairing keeps delivering in clutch matches. This pairing should be worked on in anticipation of the Olympics!

Probably not. She may be running very low on stamina due to vomiting and whatever issues she has had this week. In singles, that is a huge problem, but in doubles, not so much.

Re: Billie Jean King Cup (previously Fed Cup) - India
True, usually on tour too Ankita is used to playing 5 singles matches and 3-4 doubles matches when she goes deep in both. But it does seem that she is having some illness issues from day 1 here which may have also caused her to fold up in the 2 singles matches in last 2 days. She is gamely carrying on both singles and doubles. Today will be tough tough.
Having said, Indonesian girls will not be too better off. They are playing with a 3 member team here and their #1 Sutjiadi has also played singles and doubles in all matches.
So, they would be pretty tired too.
The top 2 teams here will advance to world group qualifying in April and play either Netherlands or Latvia there.

I don't know if we have ever played in the Fed Cup world group (probably never). It would be amazing, if our ladies can pull it off. I'm sure they will do their level best to do it tomorrow. All the best! Go India!

Rutuja lost the first set 3-6. Not a good start for us.
Is she tiring after all those long matches in last 3 days ?
