Yes, VSP retired after losing the first set 3-6 in his Q2 match. That was unfortunate after getting a very good upset in Q1. Hope he plays his doubles match.

In fact lot of Indian players have been playing these ITF 15K's in Doha in past 2 weeks apart from VSP. Manish, Sid Rawat,Abhinav Sanjeev, Niki Poonacha have all played in last 2 weeks there. Results have been pretty dismal with only Sid Rawat able to make it to the QF last week. Others have all lost out in first round. :-(

Only VSP is playing in Baharain this week.

VSP and Sasikumar Mukund are playing in a USTA event near my area. They are both playing singles at the Level 4 Open - Aronimink Open Tennis Championships located in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. Both players are in the semifinals. I will be going later today to watch their matches. They are in opposite ends of the draw and can face each other in the finals, assuming they win today. They both play at 4:30pm so I’ll do my best to keep tabs on their matches. VSP is playing doubles later today with local player named Kamala Kannan.

These guys are on a tear now! And they are not playing STBs and all. They just beat people in straight sets :)

Looks like Anirudh will move up to another career-high around 220 and VSP to around 250 in ranking. VSP was once just inside top-200 though. Nice to see him have another good run at age 35.

I was, like, "wow, Martin Damm is still alive?!" Because I think he is about my age. If he is still playing doubles then he is outleandering Leander! Turns out this guy is Martin Damm Jr. The original copy won Wimbledon doubles in 2006 with LP and I think were runners-up in the Aussie open with our old man.

The top seeds were a bit too strong for our guys. But a very good run!

VSP is in the qualies at the M25 in Harlingen, Texas, USA. 14th seed, playing Tomas Quesada Perez (ESP,NR) in Q1. I assume Anirudh is there for doubles with him. The draw isn't out yet.
