In that match, RamK had 21 aces and 9 double faults as against 5 aces and 7 double faults by Arevalo. So, he was +14 points on only serve points. But, still overall won 6 fewer points which means he was -20 points when the ball was in play which is quite a lot. His serve is clearly his best weapon but his return game and ground strokes just do not appear to be consistent for this level. Probably needs some confidence boost from 3-4 wins a row if he can get it somewhere.

Ive been saying the same thing all along - he is too passive in the ground game and simply is a wimp on the serve return. It is not going to work in top 150 let alone top 100.

Ram's poor form continues. He needs to get some points to hang into 150 club. If he can't repeat his performance at Hall of Fame Open; he'll face a big fall in rankings in Jul and road ahead would be extremely difficult for him.
I was very hopeful after his runner-up finish at Hall of Fame last year. But since then he is unable to find any rhythm.
