And Saurabh destroys the field in the finals winning gold by a difference of almost 8 points over Korean silver medalist.

His final score of 244.2 was much better than his Asiad gold winning score of 240.7 , better than senior world record of 243.6 but just 1.3 behind his own junior world record.

So, super couple of months for Saurabh. Asiad gold, junior world championships gold and now youth olympics gold. This kid is a special talent.

Archana Kamath loses the TT bronze medal match to a Romanian.

Lakshya Sen wins his QF against an Indonesian to make the SF of the mens badminton where he meets a Japanese opponent, so another prospective medal for us.

Both our hockey 5 teams lose, the men losing 3-4 to Australia while the women lose 2-5 to Argentina. Both have some work to do but should make the SFs.

I think it is time to upgrade Saurabh to likely medal contender for 2020.

True, based on the form this year, Saurabh is certainly our best medal contender in shooting. Only hope that he maintains his form for next 2 years.

Lakshya has a 0-2 head to head against Kodai whom he is meeting in the SF. So, he has a tough rltask in the SF. If he manages to win this, there is bright chance of a gold as top seed is already knocked out from other half.

Lakshya Sen wins 14-21, 21-15, 24-22 against his nemesis Japanese Kodai to go to the final of mens singles badminton and assure us a medal. :D

Saw this match and it was weird with either player going to sleep for a long period losing a bunch of points and them getting back the bunch of them. Especially, the third game where Lakshya was 11-0 up at halfway stage and also 18-8 up later only to allow Kodai to get back to 17-18 and then equal it. He also saved a match point at 20-21. Thankfully, he got it in the end else he would have cursed himself for wasting such a big lead.

Anyway, finally he got his first win over Kodai and hope he brings home the gold now.

Men's 5k Racewalk Stage 1. Suraj Panwar at #2. Time: 20:23.30 min. This is his PB.

I do not know if there is a final or why this is called Stage 1.

The final result will be addition of both stages I think.

Our boys hockey team beats Poland 4-2 to reach SF. We will meet hosts Argentina in the SF which would be a tough match.

In another shock result, Australia got upset by Zambia in the SF.
