In the interrupted second round singles match, Qualifier Thomas Fabbiano managed to defeat Stan Wawrinka in straight sets : 7-6, 6-3, 7-6. In the third round he is expected to meet either Jared Donaldson or Tsitsipas who are locked down in an intense battle which is now on to the fifth set.

Re: Wimbledon 2018
Guido Pella, who narrowly beat Prajnesh at Stuttgart, after PG had beaten Shapovalov in the first round, has just beaten Marin Cilic, last year's finalist and one of the favourites to challenge Federer this year (after winning at Queen's, where he beat Djoker in the final -- having lost the final there last year to Feliciano Lopez).

3/4 for the day in Men's doubles. Jeevan/Austin lose the third tie-breaker as well. Close match but the Dutch were superior. Divij/Artem, Vishnu/Balaji and Rohan/Roger-Vasselin are through to R2.

Re: Wimbledon 2018
Ankita's conqueror Diatcgenko against whom Ankita took a set reaches the round of 16!
Fabbiano against whom Yuki took the first set easily defeats Wawrinka in straight sets after Stan had beaten dimitrov!
Both results speak something about our players who seem to be playing better than ever. Taylor Fritz whom Yuki beat in straight sets recently is now one set away from defeating Zverev.

Yes, good wins by Vishnu-Bala and Divij-Artem ... Dominating start for Rohan-Edouard but close loss for Jeevan-
In MXD, Only Divij is playing with his Polish partner, Alicja Rosolska ... They r facing experienced Matkowski and his partner Buzarnescu in the first round ... It seems this time, Rohan has skipped the MXD.

Re: Wimbledon 2018
See this is so telling. PG is not so far off from having a great match with some of these guys in the top 10, even pulling an upset or two.PKBasu wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 3:54 pm Guido Pella, who narrowly beat Prajnesh at Stuttgart, after PG had beaten Shapovalov in the first round, has just beaten Marin Cilic, last year's finalist and one of the favourites to challenge Federer this year (after winning at Queen's, where he beat Djoker in the final -- having lost the final there last year to Feliciano Lopez).
