Re: US PGA Tour 2018
Mcllroy produced on of his very best to win the Arnold Palmer invitational. Some incredible birdies one after another in the final round.

Re: US PGA Tour 2018
Shubhankar lacks the distance (for now) to compete on courses with so many 450+ par-4s.
As I said before, he is better off sticking with the European tour and continue to build his confidence up.
Julian Suri is doing quite well at T2 at the midway stage.

Is he that behind in terms of distance? When I watched him on TV @ Indian Open and WGC Mexico, he was always quite long off the tee...
Also, he as no choice but to play in European Tour after couple of more events in US as he has no PGA card.
This was the first of his 3 invites to PGA due to his tremendous showing at WGC Mexico.
Next stop Masters and than one more.
If he can do really well in the remaining 2 events and the other Majors/WGC’s, he could secure his PGA Tour card.
Kiradech Aphibarnrat from Thailand is on the verge of getting his PGA card by doing well in the few events he has played this year.
Hope Subhankar does well at THE MASTERS!!

Re: US PGA Tour 2018
Both DGC and Mexico rewarded accuracy off the tee rather than distance; his current game is ill suited for actual events in the US.Prem wrote: ↑Sat Mar 31, 2018 4:53 pmSin Hombre wrote: ↑Fri Mar 30, 2018 11:49 pm Shubhankar lacks the distance (for now) to compete on courses with so many 450+ par-4s.

Re: US PGA Tour 2018
Mexico is at a considerable altitude, so the course was playing around 15% shorter than its listed distance.

Re: US PGA Tour 2018
Man, what has suddenly happened to these guys? Anirban has been struggling for the past 2-3 months, and Shubhankar has gone into a slump about a month ago.
