By making it to the finals, Divij defended 65 of the 80 points that fall off this week. He seem to have hit a rich vein of form irrespective of who his partner is and how he plays. Time now to take care of the Croat-Dutch pair of Arends & Sancic.

I think Divij is playing like a top-30 doubles player now (his immediate goal). If RB has any sense, he will offer to partner him for the whole of next year.

His live ranking is still stuck at 51. If he wins the title, he will rise to 49 (a new career high).

Divij Sharan is currently playing the best doubles among Indians. He has better serve(not better than Rohan of course!), better reflex(not better than Leander, may be!), better shot selection & execution, better court coverage than anybody else. He made one blunder this year and it was a very costly DF at match point against Rajeev Ram/Klaasen at Wimbledon, otherwise its been a very good year for him.
