Sai scored a hard-fought win over Thai Phetpradab in 65 mins ... After winning the first game easily Sai was cruising in the second and had 16-8 lead ... But from here Phetpradab made an excellent comeback in the match ... He won the second game on the extra points ... In the third, both players were neck to neck and Phetpradab had a crucial 19-16 lead ... But this time Sai kept his composure and won next 5 points for winning this match.

Yes, 7 out of 9 wins is a good outcome on first day for us. It could have been 8 out of 9 but Kashyap faltered after a good start.

These guys have been knocking on doors for a while. They are talented enough not to be subdued for too long. It's about time they created a big upset. I have very high hopes for this duo and see them as our first big doubles pair that would dominate in the coming years. Satwik's smashes will make your jaw drop. That he is still 17 makes it even sweeter.

That was just awesome! They need this kind of a break very badly. A well deserved victory for Satwik and Chirag! Time for them to build on this win and go deeper.
